ILM Level 3 Award in Management:

Target Audience

New, aspiring and practicing first line managers who wish to gain a nationally recognised qualification and develop their people management skills.

Five days of workshops covering communication skills, managing performance, leading individuals and teams, training and coaching, achieving objectives through effective time management, delegation skills and business improvement techniques.

Summary of Learning Outcomes

At the end of the programme learners will:-

  • Know how to select effective communication methods appropriate to the person and situation
  • Know how to adopt the appropriate leadership behaviours to enable individuals and teams to meet their objectives
  • Know how to gather and interpret information to solve problems
  • Know how to solve problems using appropriate decision making models
  • Know how to plan, implement and communicate change
  • Know how to plan and conduct one-to-one performance interviews with staff in a variety of situations
  • Know how to use effective time management techiques to prioritise and achieve work objectives
  • Know how to utilise individual strengths to build an effective team
  • Know how to train, coach and provide constructive feeback to team members

All delegates receive a business coach to support them throughout the programme.
