Target Audience
New, aspiring and practicing first line managers who wish to gain a nationally recognised qualification and develop their people management skills.6
Summary
At the end of the programme learners will know:
- How to select effective communication methods appropriate to the person and situation
- How to adopt the appropriate leadership behaviours to enable individuals and teams to meet their objectives
- How to gather and interpret information to solve problems
- How to solve problems using appropriate decision making models
- How to plan, implement and communicate change
- How to plan and conduct one-to-one performance interviews with staff in a variety of situations
- How to use effective time management techniques to prioritise and achieve work objectives
- How to utilise individual strengths to build an effective team
- How to train, coach and provide constructive feedback to team members
Learners will be given full support by a management coach throughout the 5 day programme to achieve ongoing assessments and complete out of course work.
