Key Content
Teams start from scratch – agreeing a loan and then making decisions on refurbishment, pricing wine, marketing budget, advertising, staffing, pay and how many bottles of wine to stock.
After plenty of discussion, team decisions are analysed on computer and results given as a weekly profit and loss and sales record. The computer also prints help and advice, as appropriate.
Teams face further challenges integrated into the workshop by the trainer; these include quality, expansion, diversification and external factors so they need to analyse the ‘weekly’ results carefully in order to make good decisions – and maximise profit.
